Finding Friends in a New City

Moving to a new city can be exciting, but it also can be incredibly lonely.

Making friends takes time, not to mention emotional energy. We want to help you get connected and build meaningful connections with others.

Below, we've listed a few ways we do that. In addition to that, there is a New to Nashville Facebook group that is run locally that you might find useful.

Ways to Connect at New City

Sunday Worship Gatherings

We gather Sundays at 10:30 am at Antioch Community Center for a time of worship. This is also a great time to meet some new people and make some friends. There is often a group who goes out to lunch after the service.

Groups are a great way to connect with a smaller group of people. Groups meet once a week for a time of hanging out, Scripture reading, and prayer. In addition to being a great place to grow your faith, they’re a great place to build meaningful friendships.

Throughout the year, we have various events as a church. These range from going to a soccer game to retreats to formational workshops.

In addition to gatherings, groups, and events, we also regularly have more informal hangouts – going out to eat, game nights, guys’ night at a local brewery, etc. Reach out to see what we’ve got coming up. We’d love for you to join.
